The Hotel
An old-established house in a calm, central position, right on the banks of the Main, the Hotel zum Engel has been in the family estate for over 250 years. You can expect an attentive and caring service in the guest-friendly atmosphere of our family hotel.

Our friendly guest rooms ( 11 single and 9 double ) are brightly furnished.
All have shower and wc, color television, clock radio, telephone and sound-proof windows. Free WLAN available.
We serve a varied and substantial buffet breakfast.
There are parking places in front of the hotel and in a private yard.

The Restaurant
The fine, traditional kitchen with its extensive and versatile bill of fare can justly claim a fine reputation for excellent home cooking, seasonal specialties, game dishes and regional cuisine.
We keep a good, varied wine list, including local wines, and offer draft and bottled beers to round off your meal.

Arrival and Environment
Traffic-favorable Position:
Only 2-4 km to the motorways A3 – 60 – 66 – 671. Near the federal highways B40/B42. In direct proximity of the bus station to Mainz and Wiesbaden (10 min. connection). Railway connections to Ruesselsheim and Frankfurt/Main (20 min. to the Rhine Main airport).
Trip Possibilities:
Mainz (4 km), Wiesbaden (7 km), Frankfurt/M. (20 km), Taunus - low mountain range (15 km), Rheingau, Rheinhessen. Ship trips daily with the KD from Mainz up the river Rhein to Cologne.
Kostheim:
The steeped in tradition viticulture municipality been located in Rheingau, directly at the Main river. Consents, good marked walking ways with quiescent banks and cycle tracks – “Rheingau Rieslingroute” – (bicycle rental) lead to worthwhile targets and beautiful lookout points, among other things into the vineyards and to the Main delta in relation to the city silhouette of Mainz. A versatile meeting program with cultural and sporty attractions provides for alternation (among other things Wine celebration every year at the third weekend in august).
